Jessica is the founder and Managing Director of Digital Associates. She is also a non-executive Director of SECDEX, a licensed stock exchanges of Seychelles and the only regulated digital custodian of Seychelles. She specializes in financial and commercial law focusing particularly on FinTech and financial services regulatory work. With an excellent grasp of FinTech regulations and innovative technologies, she helps clients launch, fund and grow their businesses. She acts for a wide range of clients including private and public companies, banks, investment funds, hybrid exchanges, clearing houses, regulated depositories, financial regulators and government bodies. Jessica is admitted as a practising Barrister at the Bar of England and Wales and as a Barrister at the Bar of Mauritius. She completed her law degree and masters (maîtrise en droit des affaires) at the Université des Sciences Sociales in Toulouse, France and undertook her bar at the Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. She completed her pupillage at 7 Kings Bench Walk Chambers, London, a prominent reinsurance set of barristers’ chambers and was awarded the prestigious Harmsworth Scholarship by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple. She is fluent in English and French.
Jessica is a member of numerous organisations including the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners of the UK (STEP), a member of the Mauritius Institute of Directors, a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators of the UK (CIArb) and a member of The Honourable Society of Middle Temple. She is also an approved trainer by the Mauritian Qualifications Authority QA). She was one of the acclaimed WIA54 Laureate in the digital and technology category for 2020 for Southern Africa.
